Needs clinical review

Dr. Cabral needs to read this page before it goes live. The patient education here is written conservatively and describes the treatment in general — it makes no claim about this practice's technique, materials, or protocol, because none has been supplied.

  • THE PACKAGE MATH. This page shows $585 per mini implant and $4,500 for four implants plus a lower denture. Four at $585 is $2,340, plus a $700 denture is $3,040 — a $1,460 gap, using only prices published on this site. Patients will do that sum here more than anywhere else. Either the package includes materially more and the copy must say exactly what, or the pricing needs restructuring. There is no FAQ answering this because the honest answer is not yet known.
  • Three of the five prices on this page are placeholders — standard implant, implant crown and abutment, and upper denture on implants. Only $585 and $4,500 come from the ad.
  • Confirm the process and timings match how you work, including whether mini implants are loaded the same day in your protocol.
  • Read the eight FAQ answers, particularly the mini-versus-standard comparison and the smoking answer.

Implants

Mini implants to hold a denture in place, and full implants to replace a missing tooth. Prices published up front, no insurance needed.

Your options

Mini Implants

Starting at$585

Best forMost often used to hold a lower denture in place.

Narrower than a standard implant, so placement is simpler and less is asked of the bone. They are the usual route to a denture that stays put, and they cost considerably less per implant.

Single Tooth Implant

Starting at$1,650

Best forReplacing one missing tooth without touching the teeth beside it.

A full-size titanium post takes the place of the root, and a crown goes on top. The price above is the implant itself — the crown and abutment are priced separately, so budget for both.

Lower Denture on 4 Implants

Starting at$4,500

Best forA lower denture that lifts when you eat or talk.

Four mini implants in the lower jaw, and a denture that snaps onto them. Ask us exactly what the package covers compared with paying for each part separately — we would rather you had that comparison in front of you.

Upper Denture on Implants

Starting at$5,500

Best forWhen you want the palate uncovered, or the upper will not hold.

Implants let an upper denture be made without the plate that covers the roof of the mouth, which is what most people say gets in the way of tasting food.

Why people choose implants

  • It stays where it belongs

An implant is anchored in bone rather than resting on gum. Nothing lifts, slides, or has to be held in place while you eat.

  • It keeps the bone

Jawbone shrinks where a tooth root is missing, which over years is what hollows out the lower face. An implant works the bone the way a root did and slows that down.

  • Neighbouring teeth are left alone

A bridge has to be cut into the healthy teeth on either side of a gap. An implant stands on its own and leaves them untouched.

  • You can eat properly

This is the reason most people give. Implant-held teeth bite close to the way natural teeth do, so the list of foods you avoid gets much shorter.

What to expect, honestly

No one tells you this part in an advertisement, so we will. None of it is a reason not to go ahead — it is simply what to expect.

  • It takes months, not weeks

Bone has to grow tight around a standard implant before it can carry a tooth, and that is measured in months. Mini implants holding a denture are often quicker. Either way, this is not a one-visit treatment.

  • It is surgery

Minor surgery, done with local anaesthetic, and most people describe it as easier than they expected. But there is swelling and soreness afterward, and a few days of taking it gently.

  • You need enough bone

Where teeth have been missing a long time, the bone may have shrunk too far to hold an implant. A graft can rebuild it, which adds cost and healing time. An X-ray at the first visit tells us where you stand.

  • Some things lower the odds

Smoking and uncontrolled diabetes both make it harder for an implant to take hold. It does not necessarily rule you out, but you should tell us so the plan accounts for it rather than finding out later.

How it works, step by step

Most of the worry comes from not knowing what actually happens. Here is the whole process.

  1. Exam and X-rays

    One visit

We check how much bone is there and whether an implant is the right answer at all. You leave with a written plan and the full cost before anything is booked.

  2. Bone graft, if you need one

    Months of healing

Only when there is not enough bone to hold the implant. It is priced separately and adds healing time before placement.

  3. Placing the implant

    One visit

Done under local anaesthetic. The post goes into the bone and the site is closed. You go home the same day with aftercare instructions.

  4. Healing

    Weeks to months

The bone grows tight around the implant. Standard implants need the longest here; mini implants holding a denture are often ready sooner.

  5. Fitting the tooth or denture

    One or two visits

The crown goes on, or the denture is fitted with the attachments that snap onto the implants. We check the bite and adjust it.

  6. Check-ups

    Ongoing

Implants need cleaning and checking like natural teeth. The gum around them is where problems start, so the regular visits matter more here, not less.

Timings are the usual range. We will give you the schedule for your own treatment at the first visit.

Common questions

Does getting an implant hurt?

The placement itself is done with local anaesthetic and you should not feel pain during it. Afterward expect soreness and some swelling for a few days, handled with the pain relief we recommend. Most people say it was easier than a difficult extraction.

What's the difference between a mini implant and a standard one?

Width, mostly. A mini implant is narrower, so it needs less bone, goes in more simply, and costs less. Standard implants are wider and stronger, which matters when one implant has to carry a single tooth under full chewing force. Minis are most often used in a group to hold a denture. We will tell you which fits your case.

Am I too old for implants?

Age on its own is not a barrier — people in their seventies and eighties have implants placed routinely. What matters is your general health and how much bone you have, and both are things we check at the first visit.

How long do implants last?

The implant in the bone is designed to be permanent and often lasts decades. The crown or denture attached to it is the part that wears and may need replacing along the way, the same as any other tooth restoration.

What if I do not have enough bone?

A bone graft can rebuild the ridge so an implant becomes possible. It adds cost and several months of healing before placement. In some cases mini implants are an option where standard ones are not, because they need less bone to begin with.

Can I get implants if I smoke?

It is possible, but smoking meaningfully lowers the chance an implant takes hold and raises the chance of problems later. Tell us either way — we would rather plan around it honestly than have it come as a surprise.

Will implants stop my lower denture moving?

Yes — that is the main reason people have them. A lower denture has no suction to hold it, so it rests on a narrow ridge and lifts. Four mini implants give it something to lock onto, and it stays put while you eat and talk.

Do you take my insurance?

We do not work with insurance at all. We are fee-for-service — no networks, no annual maximum, and nobody to approve your treatment but you and Dr. Cabral. The price you see is the price you pay, and financing is available.

Edited prices come out with "verified": false unless they were already confirmed. Set it to true only for figures the practice has actually agreed, since that is what the publish guard checks. Until this file is committed and rebuilt, patients still see the old prices.
